11 Feng Shui Tips for Creating Romance and Passion

11 Feng Shui Tips for Creating Romance and Passion: "11 Feng Shui Tips for Creating Romance and Passion

- By Vicky White

Valentine's Day or any day - romance and passion are important. Whether you're looking for a new relationship or looking to enhance an existing one, Feng Shui will power your intentions.

Your environment is either supporting you or working against you. If you are in a relationship these tips will support you in creating the relationship you want. And, if you are looking for a new partner, these tips will set the scene.

1. Create an inviting sanctuary

What is your bedroom saying? Does it reflect who you are, and set the scene for the relationship you want, or is it a room you don't think too much about because you only sleep - or try to sleep there. Want more to happen in there?

2. Let go of past associations

You are affected by the energy of everything in your surroundings. Does your furniture remind you of the past?

Do you have photos of past partners? Yikes! Let go of anything you don't want to bring into your present or upcoming relationship.

3. Make your bed the primary feature

What's in your bedroom with you? Exercise equipment, desk, computer? This energy will conflict with the purpose of the bedroom - serenity, romance and renewal. If necessary, use a screen to separate these different functions.

4. Remove the television from your bedroom

A television will affect your relationships, and your sleep. The television is a more vibrant, yang energy, which can make it less relaxing for sleep, and take your attention away from your partner.

5. Position your bed

The ideal bed position is as far away from the door as possible, and with a clear view of the door from where you lie. If you cannot see the door easily, this will set up an unconscious vulnerability that will affect the quality of your sleep and other aspects of your life. A solid headboard will support a strong relationship.

6. Who are you sleeping with?

Your bed holds the energy of anyone who has slept in it. Support the beginning of a new life with someone by replacing your bed. And, considering you spend a third of your life in bed, invest in the best possible.

7. Don't let Clutter Bog You Down!

Clutter affects all areas of your life more than anything else, and your bedroom is no exception. Clutter here will be affecting your health, your prosperity, and both existing and potential relationships. Clutter will prevent you from creating your dreams.

Don't underestimate the importance of clearing your closet. Clients report this gives them an immediate increase in energy and improved feelings about themselves. Give away anything that doesn't make you feel your best. One client found herself writing her autobiography after procrastinating for 4 years. The more you express of yourself, the better your chance of having a relationship that works for you.

Clutter is anything unfinished, unused, unresolved, tolerated, or disorganized. So, this could be physical clutter, or unresolved issues with your partner or an ex partner.

8. Get a fresh perspective on your art

Art work is a powerful enhancement in creating your life. If you're a single woman, having a picture of a lonely woman walking along the beach will not be helping you create someone new in your life. Make sure your art is sending the right messages. Position images of pairs of things in your bedroom and relationship areas of your home.

9. Make space for a relationship

One client set the intention for a new relationship in her life, and made space for it by making space in her closet and in her bathroom for the person who would come into her life. She added a second pillow on the bed. Within a very short time she was in a new relationship.

Set your bedroom up for two if you want to create a relationship. Have matching bedside tables and lamps. What represents romance to you? Have pairs of things such as two dolphins, two roses, two candles.

10. Nurture your number one relationship - the one with yourself

Treat yourself as the god or goddess you are - the one your ideal partner falls in love with. Are you fully expressing your unique gifts? Nurture yourself with your favorite scented candles, music and sensual fabrics. Write poetry, buy flowers and be wildly sexual.

11. Always, and especially on Valentine's Day, celebrate he love you have in your life, whether it's with a Partner, friends or family."

10 Feng Shui Tips for Increasing Love And Romance

10 Feng Shui Tips for Increasing Love & Romance: "Feng Shui practitioners believe that the best way to attract love is to adjust your environment accordingly. Dingy surroundings, piles of clutter, and self-absorbed artwork can actually drive Cupid from your door. Here, then, are 10 simple tips for finding your perfect mate... or for increasing the passion in your long-term relationship or marriage.

Replace Images of Lone Figures with Pictures of Happy Couples — Artwork has a tremendous impact on the subconscious. When you surround yourself with photos, paintings, sculptures, and knickknacks of solitary figures, you'll carry yourself accordingly. Replacing such images with representations of happy couples will make you more receptive to love.

Create Cozy Seating Arrangements — Single chairs send a loud and clear message to prospective suitors and spouses: Back off! If you're looking for love, create cozy seating arrangements from love seats, sofas, and chairs. Putting chairs at comfortable angles to each other will signal that you're ready for a relationship.

Keep the Television Out of the Bedroom — Nothing kills romance like the drone of late night television. If you have trouble falling asleep, try unwinding by reading love poetry or romantic novels. Your subconscious will shift accordingly, making you a virtual love magnet.

Treat Yourself to Sensual Bedding — That old ratty pillow from college and those serviceable sheets aren't doing your sex life any favors. Go ahead and splurge on pillows, blankets, and sheets that invite you to linger in bed.

Downsize from a King to a Queen — Sleeping on a huge mattress won't cultivate intimacy. Invest in a comfortable queen-sized bed if you'd like to find the love of your life. If you simply can't make the switch, make sure to sleep on patterned sheets to add some zest to your sex life.

Prepare for Company — If you are single, clear out one of your dresser drawers, leave some empty hangers in the closet, and keep an extra toothbrush in the bathroom. When you demonstrate you are willing to share your space with someone special, your romantic prospects will soar.

Pull Your Bed away from the Wall —Pushing your bed against the wall effectively crowds out any chance for lovers to enter your life. Arrange your bed so that it has enough space to walk on either side. Before you know it, you'll be cuddling close with someone special, instead of hugging your pillow for comfort.

Make Your "Relationship Gua" a Shrine to Love — Using the front door of your home as a reference point, the far right corner of your home represents relationships and is known as the "Relationship Gua" in Feng Shui. Therefore, you need to keep this area intimate and inviting. A love seat illuminated with adjustable lighting is ideal for this special spot.

Keep the Family at Bay — Your bedroom represents your romantic life. Therefore, the last images you want to see here are photos of dear old Mom and Dad. Children's artwork and toys will also undermine your sex life. Celebrate these relationships in other areas of your household, but keep your boudoir a private retreat.

Think Pink! — Warm colors like pink and red can enliven your love life considerably. Soft shades like rose, salmon, and coral can attract a gentle partner who is attentive to your needs, while bold colors like scarlet, crimson, and burgundy will draw a passionate adventurer to your side."

Seven Feng Shui Tips

Home Improvement: Feng Shui: Seven Feng Shui Tips: "Seven Feng Shui Tips for Well-being
Improve your emotional and physical health with feng shui

By Angi Ma Wong

1. Remove Clutter in Your Home and Office
Clutter obstructs the beneficial energy called chi in your environment, blocking the actualization of the good things you want to achieve in your life. Take a good, hard look at your walls, furniture and accessories. Eliminate half or more of what's there, store it and rotate it from time to time. Dispose ruthlessly in order to allow new things to enter your life.

2. Create a Private Place for Yourself
It is essential to your well-being to surround yourself with souvenirs, artwork, books, awards, goals, images and mementos that nourish your spirit. Remember that less is more and change these things as you and your life change. This space can be as small as a favorite corner or chair but it is exclusively yours, a place where you can dream your dreams and find peace and serenity.

3. Ensure a Good Night's Rest
Look around your bedroom with a critical eye to see what might be disturbing your sleep. Eliminate as much electronic equipment as you can because it emanates waves that disturb chi. Close the bathroom door leading to your room, as well as the toilet seat and cover. Cover up mirrors that activate yang energy in what should be a yin environment conducive to rest. Avoid stimulating colors like red and gold, using instead, yin colors such as blues, greens and pastels. Do not place water features or too many live plants or fresh flowers in your bedroom.

4. Activate Your Relationships Area
If you're looking to renew or find a new partner for companionship, love, romance and perhaps a permanent commitment, try enhancing the southwest area. In every room of your home, especially your bedroom, examine that direction critically. Is it filled with clutter, a nightstand covered with stuff or worsenothing? Set one or two symbols, usually in pairs, that represent loving relationships in this place: pink quartz crystals, heart shapes or anything made of earth materials such as porcelain, china, clay, stone or terra-cotta. Fire elements and symbols such as lights and candles will add extra punch to your efforts, but do not use any wood or green here.

5. Add More Yang to Your Life
Introduce more light, music, water, air, plants, mirrors, windchimes, bright colors and flowers into your life. Throw open the drapes and curtains or open up your miniblinds all the way to literally let the sun shine in. Bring in lots of green houseplants to activate the yang chi of joy and happiness.

6. Create an Interior or Exterior Environment That Promotes Health
Fresh, clean, moving water; good air quality; straightforward traffic patterns in your home or office; a balance of dark and light, soft and hard surfacesall of these facilitate the flow of beneficial chi. If you or other family members often experience illness, accidents or calamities, walk around the outside of your house and notice if there are any corners of buildings pointed directly toward your front entrance or bedrooms. Block the view with plants if possible, or you can position a small mirror facing the offending corner to send the "killing energy" back to its origin.

7. Bring the Outdoors In
Bring the natural world back into your home and office. Invest in artwork with images of nature as a reminder that there is a world out there. Add lots of indoor plants in the east, southeast and south areas of your home. But shy away from dried flowers, especially in the bedroomsuch floral arrangements wreak havoc on your love and sex life."
